A UK safety charity has this week announced two major changes. The Gas Safety Trust…
No Joke!
No this isn’t an April Fools’ joke, a British company have just unveiled the world’s first microwave-powered boiler.
The London-based energy company Heat Wayv, inventors of the world’s first microwave-powered boiler have said it can provide a straightforward, zero-emissions replacement for the gas boilers that heat most homes in the UK.
The Heat Wayv One, a smart-home IoT appliance which can be controlled anywhere using a smartphone app, is their market entrant unit. The Heat Wayv One is equivalent in size to a standard combi-boiler and without a need for an external vent.

Controlled using a smartphone app, it can be fitted on any interior wall of a house in less than a day, operates almost silently and is promised to supply hot water and heating on-demand for any homes that currently have conventional gas boilers.
The boiler uses electricity to heat water which can then be pumped through existing radiators and to taps, showers and baths.
The firm has listed two products on its website at an undisclosed price, with one, the size of a standard single double-height kitchen unit, designed for larger households. They are currently building prototypes and expect to trial the boilers in homes by the end of 2022, with the first sales to customers targeted for 2024!

Homeowners are still able to get a FREE boiler or insulation via the ECO Energy Grant, which is still available to households that qualify. Warma UK are currently working throughout the UK helping privately owned and rented homes to improve home energy efficiency and save money on rising energy bills.
